Barbie Proactive
Remember the Barbie Movie? How could you not, you saw it 10 times.
Anyway, when Barbie was coming out in June 2024, we decided to pitch Mitre 10 an opportunity to jump on the Barbie (Dreamcar) bandwagon. Since Mitre 10 were 'the Other Hardware Store', we decided to remind Aussies of the other Barbie they love. The one exclusively sold at Mitre 10.
So we showed up in the same places as the actual Barbie promotional materials in the real, as well as showing up in the Barbie digital world with strategic placements.
NRL Try or No Try
The 2025 NRL season saw Mitre 10 sponsor the TRY or NO TRY screen. So we made a few silent boards that looked pretty nice on TV and built enough suspense that we saw a guy in a pub fumble his pint across a table.
Coincidence? Perhaps, but we're taking credit for it.

Black Friday Deals Come Out of the Blue
Black Friday is one of the most anticipated sale periods of the year - and also the most cluttered.
So how could Mitre 10 stand out in a sea of sameness?
By hitting people with a deal when they least suspect it.

So we created a radio and social campaign where we surprised people by having mitre 10 black friday deals literally come out of the blue.
